Our client works in partnership as a leading supplier of specialist financial and market insight, consulting and events for the commodities industries. They are looking for a Marketing Manager to join a small, friendly and fast-growing company and have clients all over the world.

The Marketing Manager will be responsible for maximizing subscription and publication revenues to agreed targets by planning and executing the full mix of direct marketing activity and through the effective management of CRM data and online activities.

This role needs someone who can initiate and execute multi-staged campaigns across a range of products with skills to plan, write, design, implement and monitor each campaign. This needs attention to detail and the ability to see beyond the task in hand. You will need to be able to write compelling sales copy, and design marketing material (or effectively update outsourced design).

The right person will have at least three years direct marketing experience, be highly creative and able to drive fast pace marketing activity for a portfolio of existing and new products and services.

The role:

Subscription and publication acquisition – maximise profitable sales of new and existing products.

Budgets and targets – monitor and aim for agreed ROI targets, and make recommendations to address areas of under-performance.

Campaign analysis – report regularly on sales against budget for individual products.

Copy, Design, Production and fulfilment – to follow best practice guidelines and develop campaigns, which, where relevant span products.

Create lead generation campaigns to pass on to sales teams, either online or via other activities.

Work closely with the industry teams to undertake any necessary market and customer research.

To be able to manipulate our CRM system to make targeted selections and be responsible for arranging any improvements on the lists such as cleaning data and new list acquisitions.

Build external relationships with associations and organisations to help promote collaborative activity, and where possible contra deals.
